ISL has been a union shop near its inception and by being such, it allows our company to be in a position to hire local staff for projects anywhere in the country. By having a local labor pool to draw from, our bids can be more competitive as we are able to avoid housing out-of-town staff members which simply becomes a job cost. Furthermore, contract requirements such as certified payroll and prevailing wage reports are of no issue with ISL as these requirements are a standard practice of a union company as our own.
ISL is poised to be far more independent of subcontractor pricing in that we house an earthworks & pile works division. Also of substantial importance is the fact that ISL is not dependent on the terms and conditions that accompany a subcontractor's bid, providing us with the ability to phase work for the benefit of the project and not a subcontract.
